2016 Painting Challenge Winners - The Big Smoke

2016 Painting Challenge WINNERS - The BIG SMOKE

Hot from his runner-up place in the previous competition, congratulations to Adam Skinner, winner of the Big Smoke competition! Adam wins £150 in store credit to spend on Infamy stuff and will also get a collection of limited edition miniatures shipped his way.

His entry, Graveyard Gunslingers, is a showcase in excellent painting, with incredible detail and technical skill. The imposing figure of the MK1 Defence Bot has excellent non-metallic metal contrasted with the leather of his duster, Edwin Gorr's accessories all look marvelous, but it's the bold colour choices on Henrietta Jekyll that really make this piece sing.

Well done Adam!

Another competition regular, Donald Johansson takes the first runner-up spot with his bold take on the Lost Boy's Corvus. The colour scheme in place here, though not perhaps wholly suited to fit Corvus' actual background, works really well. It's the striking lighting effect that makes this entry a real stand-out though.

Donald takes home £50 store credit and a limited edition mini.

Christoph Link takes a second runner-up spot. The judging just couldn't separate his entry from Donald's. This is an involved and complex scene, with details aplenty and a really interesting amount of colour use. Bonus marks for the sneaky use of a certain Kingpin's famous address!
